I have another cheap DIY horse trick for you. It’s actually incredibly obvious and I can’t believe I’ve never done it before! I don’t know about you, but my horse gets some major tangles in his mane and tail making it hard to brush through without breaking off hair. I do think some horse danglers are better than others and are worth the extra money, such as Cowboy Magic, but for everyday use this is starting to be my go-to spray.
You’ll need an old squirt bottle and some conditioner you don’t use, or just a cheap generic kind. The point is to be frugal! I happened to have this nice Matrix conditioner that I no longer use, so Hot Rod is getting pampered with the good stuff! I also use cheap Suave conditioner and it works fine too.
Squeeze some conditioner in your bottle and then fill with hot water. I didn’t use too much conditioner, but you might just play around with how much works for you. Some conditioners are thicker than others, so you’ll need to take into account the strength of the conditioner when you dilute it.
Now just shake it up really well and it’s ready to use! Genius!
