Get ready, because I happen to be one of those annoying people who LOVES every single holiday season decorate accordingly. Valentine’s Day is one of my favorites. It’s so pink and sweet! Eeeekkk!! Can we just pause and think about giant heart-shaped boxes full of chocolate?? Chocolate is my love language. I don’t care what anyone says about it, this holiday IS real and should be celebrated!
I usually put little things around the house to get my family in the holiday spirit. My oldest girl enjoys decorating and it makes me happy to have another girl to join with me on the fun. But today, I want to share the fun with you! Besides all the inexpensive, frilly little things I buy at stores like Hobby Lobby, I really like to use things I already have around the house. Old boots make the perfect vessels to fill with seasonal goodies. You can use holly at Christmas time, forsythia in the spring, sunflowers in the late summer… Get my drift? So I used my boot idea for Valentine’s Day, too!
I think it’s super cute and festive. A little on the girly side, but that’s what makes Valentine’s Day fun! The more feminine and pretty and pink and red–the better! The options are limitless for the boot idea.
The plus side is, these were my very first pair of cowgirl boots 🙂 I hated to get rid of them when I outgrew them, and now I get to see them all the time! What do you use around the house to decorate?
