Next week, my new life begins. Next week, miracles will happen.
Next week, SCHOOL STARTS.
**Cue the release of white doves.
With designated free time in the my near future, I have set my sights on riding. Really riding. All my riding plans were put on hold towards the end of the summer in order to finish barn projects and prepare for the upcoming semester. Not to mention the 100 degree heat. But I’m ready to get back in the saddle. My fat horses don’t know it yet, but I have big plans for them.
My new excitement and anticipation has also sparked a renewed shopping compulsion. Well, window shopping at least. Why must I always get the “I wants” when I have no extra money to spend?! Anybody else feel that way? Lately, my Instagram account has been blowing up with pretty, shiny horsey thingzzzz. And I want them ALL.
A new pair of Running Roan spur straps. I already wear one of their older styled spur straps, but these are especially cool. I love having a pop of color peek out beneath the hem of my jeans. Every cowgirl needs a pair of punchy spur straps with a vintage cowboy concho, right? Right.
The latest cowgirl jean everyone is talking about are from Kimes Ranch. So I need a pair. Obvi. What’s cool about these jeans is that they are so classy and simple. No bling here. Maybe they will even out my new punchy spur straps. 😉
I am LOVING all the products I see from Gray & Co. Design. The multi-color hand-dyed lead ropes are so fun! I would love to try my hand at a DIY version, although I’m sure it wouldn’t end up nearly as pretty.
My next hypothetical purchase can totally be written-off as a necessity. This past year, I’ve thrown out all my old hay bags because they were either A.) Mildewy or B.) Falling apar or C.) More than five years old. I don’t travel too much, but when I do I need a hay bag. It just so happens that my horses prefer to eat out of colorful hay bags. They told me it makes their transportaion experience much sweeter.
What are you window shopping for?
