Poor Tuesday. It’s the uninspiring day that falls between the worst day of the week, and the middle hump day of the week. Tuesday–the ugly stepchild of days everyone forgets.
Here are a couple things happening in my world that elevate this Tuesday!
- Transformation Tuesday! I mentioned this pony a few weeks ago in my post about surprises around the barn. He’s a super sweet quarter horse who needed to pack on some pounds when he got here. After biting my nails in worry for a day or so, I decided to tackle his weight issue by feeding his normal 12% grain ration, plus all the good Bermuda hay he can eat. But, then I started supplemented each meal with beet pulp. This picture does not do him justice, people. In the bottom picture, I could count his ribs, his hips poked out, his shoulders were bony and lean, his coat was dull, and even his skin was dry and unhealthy-looking. The top picture is after about a month and only one 40 pound bag of beet pulp. What a cheap, effective, and healthy way to gain weight! His coat is SHINY, his skin is HEALTHY, and he’s getting flesh in all the right places. I’m so so happy about the results. 2. #mein3. Every once in a while, I get on board with social media fads like this. This one was especially fun, but surprisingly took me a couple days to figure out! Here are the fictional ladies I chose, and the quality they posses that I’d *like* to think encompasses a small piece of who I am.
- Melanie Smooter from Sweet Home Alabama: tenderness
- Detective Rollins from Law and Order-SVU: competence
- Miss Kitty from Gunsmoke: grit
Happy Tuesday, y’all!
