It will be one year that I started Rocking E Cowgirl in January! Eeekkk!! I feel like I’ve stuck with it pretty well, aside from last week when I allowed myself to not take one peep at the computer since I had so much Christmas prep. I’ve never thought of myself as a cyber-friend kind of gal, but it turns out, I totally am! After regularly reading other horsey blogs, I feel like I’m really getting to know some special girls. Tracy’s Blogger Gift Exchange only fosters these friendships (can I call them that? please?) even more! This was my first year to participate and I have thoroughly enjoyed both the giving and receiving sides.
The name I drew was Karley, over at All In. Karley, I told you in my note and I’m telling the world now, I creeped on you HARD. #noshame I love your horses. I love your little family. I love your blog. And I love that I was introduced to you and your world through this gift exchange! For Karley, I ordered her a couple things on Black Friday to get more bang for my buck.

First, I shopped at my favorite equine small business, The Herbal Horse. Obvi. Helen’s the best. If you haven’t tried her stuff, you should. Karley said she likes grooming and Teddy’s Tack Trunk, so I surfed over to Teddy’s and got a brush for her. I really wanted to get one of the luxurious face brushes, but I had to stay in the budget (or at least as close as possible, right?), so I opted for the Leistner Natural Coco mud brush. To spruce it up, I spray painted the top and sides and then added a monogram decal, using her horse’s hunter green and maroon colors. **Side note: I enjoyed learning how to paint brushes! Now I know how!** I also added some peppermints for her ponies, stickers for her daughters, some homemade ornaments, and one of my barn shirts. I hope you liked it, Karley!
I received my package on Friday and I was so excited to see it at the mailbox! There’s something special about a receiving package in the mail at Christmas. Terisé from Breeches and Boat Shoes drew my name and I’m so glad! She is yet another new blogger who I don’t know well, and I’m looking forward to reading her blog. As for the gifts, my ponies will love the fancy treats! They rarely get treats, so they won’t know what to do! I’m excited to try the soap sponge when it’s warm enough for a bath. I’ve seen these online and always wondered about them! And lastly, great minds must think alike, because she sent me some Herbal Horse Heal Quick! My fave! Thank you, Terisé!
Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope your hearts and stockings were full of joy!
