I apologize for being so quiet last week! Emmalee came down with RSV two weeks ago, and it ended up snagging everyone else in our family in the process. My productivity level as at an all-time low and I only squeezed one ride in. Bummer. But thankfully, we are finally over the yuck just in time for Christmas! I have a big week lined up with a welder appointment (Finally getting those hitching rails! Whoo!), vet appointment (Hot Rod is overdue for a joint lube job!), farrier appointment (Feet matter, y’all!), and finishing up all my Christmas shopping!
Even though I felt sick last week, I had my eye on a couple things…
1. NFR FASHION GUYS. First of all, the fashion scene at NFR is insane in the membrane. I’m not a barrel racer, and not a huge frequenter of rodeos (that’s another story for another time), but you simply cannot ignore the NFR if you are a western rider. The glitz, the glam-
oh, and some fantastic horses 😉
If you haven’t been following some of the top dawgs in the rodeo world, you might want to jump over to Instagram and follow a few, because they’re fascinating. I can honestly say I’ve never seen so much fringe in my life. Western gals know how to dress up. And I mean, DRESS UP. I would have absolutely no idea how to achieve a look like this from Geena at Fit on the Farm.
Or this little number from Alexis Bloomer. You go girl.
But it sure is fun to watch from afar! Do you think they dress like that at home? if so, I seriously need to up my sweatshirt-and-jeans-game.
2. NFR COUPLES GUYS. It’s like celebrity stalking, but for cowgirls. There are so many young, rich, talented, beautiful, rich couples at NFR. Did I mention rich? I just cannot peel my eyes away from these happy couples. The biggest couple highlight from NFR was Tuf Cooper proposing to his girlfriend Tiffany during the Round 10 awards ceremony.
That’s right. Tif and Tuf.
I mean, who can say no to a multiple world champion? I guess that means I’m officially no longer in the running to be his side girlfriend?
If only I’d had a giant custom fringe handbag, maybe he would’ve noticed me…
Ah, oh well, I still have my Tuf here at home. 🙂
